Cranky Bat is a one-man-band clothing brand based in the heart of Scotland, proudly flying the flag from rainy Edinburgh—at least for now. The dream? To swap grey skies for golden hills and sunshine-drenched days in California, powered by nothing but tees, ink, and pure creative grit.
The Process
I’m building a T-shirt brand with soul—where every design is hand-drawn, deeply personal, and completely unique. Armed with a sketchpad, an iPad Pro, and an Apple Pencil, I bring my characters to life one stroke at a time. Some designs take a few days; others take up to three weeks to get just right. Because here, detail matters. Originality matters. Every tee is a wearable story—crafted with purpose, personality, and a whole lot of caffeine.
Art Style
The Cranky Bat style is bold, bright, and heavily influenced by manga aesthetics—think eye-popping colours, surreal characters, and just the right balance of charm and chaos. These are the kinds of designs that feel like they stepped out of your dreams—or maybe your weirdest, most delightful nightmares. I live for the moment a loose scribble turns into a character with attitude, flair, and probably way too many accessories.
